Description:
A cactus of a spherical/cylindrical shape, whose gray-green stems are of brownish/red-purple shades. Soft and flexible whitish spines come out from the areoles. During the period of its flowering, it blooms with beautiful spherical flowers of a brown-red color, that last only a few days.

Plant care:
It likes very bright places, however, avoid direct sunlight during the hottest hours of the day.
It is preferable to keep it at mild temperatures and never below 10 °C, for this reason it is recommended to shelter it during the winter period.
Water moderately but only when the soil is completely dry. It is enough to water the plant once a week in spring and summer, suspend watering completely in autumn and winter.
The best soil is a well-draining one, even better if further enriched with inert materials such as pumice, sand or lapilli.
They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
