Mammillaria spinosissima

It is native to tropical dry forests at 600-1900 meters above sea level. It is a columnar cactus, that can reach up to 40 cm in height. Its green stem is completely covered with multiple spines, ranging from white to brown. In spring, bloom pink to purple flowers, creating a crown around the apex of the plant.
