Mammillaria scrippsiana

Beautiful globe-shaped cactus, slightly depressed at the apex, equipped with well-protruding conical tubercles, among which comes out a delicate white fluff. At the apex of the cactus are present thin radial spines, well straight and whitish, to which alternate central spines long even some centimeters, very slender and turned outwards with their red-brownish tonality, which give M. scrippsiana a strongly wild and thorny appearance, pleasantly contrasted in summer by its small and delicate magenta flowers, which bloom crowning the apex with a touch of vivacity and elegance.
