Mammillaria pringlei

Mammillaria pringlei has a globose and slightly elongated shape, whose notoriety is given by the fact of being able to branch and create more heads, for an overall conspicuous and extremely ornamental effect. The stem is covered by thick golden thorns that protect it and that give the plant an enchanting look, as if it shone with its own light: those at the apex are smaller and shorter than the central ones and are born between a thick cream-coloured down. Another peculiarity of this species is represented by the flowering period, as its, is one of the longest of all cacti: its small and pleasant reddish flowers may bloom at any time, even if the preferred one, like most of the species, it’s between spring and summer. M. pringlei can not miss within the collection of the most passionate for the perfect combination of the scenic appearance and its ease of cultivation!
