Mammillaria parkinsonii

An initially globular cactus, which over time assumes a cylindrical shape, reaching a maximum of 15 cm in height and 10-15 cm in diameter. The apex of the stem is slightly depressed, covered with a white down. It has conical tubercles and downy areoles, from which white and thin radial spines, as well as central ones (from 2 to 5), curved downwards, of a white color with a dark tip, emerge. During the flowering period, it blooms at the apex with diurnal flowers, of a pale yellow color with a brownish or pinkish central stripe.
