Art. 41063
This globular cactus is a solitary species, but in nature it can also found in large clusters, that exceed 40 centimeters in diameter. It consists of a body with a characteristic dark bronze color, equipped with protruding conical tubercles and large whitish spherical areoles. It has gold colored spines of different length, straight and needle-like. When it reaches its mature age we can see a considerable amount of a white down between the tubercles’ grooves. In early spring, the plant is embellished, near the apex, by a graceful corolla of small yellowish diurnal flowers.
