Mammillaria montensis

Very appreciated Mexican cactaceae for its wealth of details in every single corner of the epidermis: Its opaque green stem is globose, depressed at the apex and equipped with very deep rhomboid tubercles, well marked by the presence of white fluff between them. From the tip of the tubercle come out extremely thin radial spines, bright yellow and well straight, arranged radially; the central spines are not always present,sometimes there are two more robust and dark spines, directed one upwards and one outwards. Otherwise, especially at the apex, there may be a single brownish spine that is extremely long, thin and perfectly straight. It is a plant of easy cultivation, perfect to bring the proper balance between symmetry and wild charm!
