Mammillaria mainae

It is often called "Counter-Clockwise Fishhook". In fact, if you look carefully, all the central spines have a hook, directed counterclockwise. It is a small globular plant of a bright green color, covered by conical tubercles, from which the dense spines, that obscure the stem, arise. The flower of M. mainiae is very beautiful and particular, and its pinkish-white lanceolate petals are decorated with a magenta pink central strip.
