Mammillaria lemon f. crested

It is a very beautiful crested form with easy propagation - one more reason, why it is extremely sought after by green collectors. While its classic shape has cylindrical and elongated stems, similar to fingers, the crested one takes on the characteristic aspect, that gives it the common name of "Brain cactus": it consists of thin, very twisted and tangled crests, which take on a shape, similar to that of a human brain. It has a light green body, completely hidden by countless white spines, which are very short and thin, that further thicken along the arch of the ridge, making the plant resemble a very decorative and particular barbed cushion.
