Mammillaria lasiacantha var. egregia f. crested

A rare low-growing cactus of an unusual shape, which, due to its cresting, makes each plant unique and therefore highly sought after by green collectors. It has the shape of a fan with numerous tubercles, from which 50 or more spines per each areole emerge; the spines are thin, white and similar to bristles. At the end of winter /early spring, small cream-white flowers rarely sprout with well-defined central red-brown streaks.
