Mammillaria huitzilopochtli var. niduliformis

It is a small-sized cactus, initially it has a spherical shape, that becomes cylindrical over time. Its green stem is completely wrapped in radial white spines, while the central brown spines converge upwards, almost to form a nest, hence the name 'niduliformis' ("nido" - "nest"). One of its particular characteristics is that it blooms during the Christmas period. The bright pink flowers form a crown, that surrounds the apex of the plant.
