Mammillaria hahniana f. monstrous

The monstrous shape of a cactaceae has anomalies, for example asymmetries in the stem, diversity of the thorns or particular protuberances that make that exemplar absolutely unique and never identical to others, for this extremely sought after by true connoisseurs. In its normal form it is a cactus with a generally solitary posture that over time can tuft. It is also known as "Old lady pincushion" - "Old lady pincushion", for its long spines, similar to down, that go to cover the plant densely. Its stem has numerous conical tubercles surrounded by a thick fluff. It blooms abundantly in spring generating many small flowers arranged in a ring on the top of the plant.
