Mammillaria hahniana f. crested

It is a cactacea plant with a generally solitary habit which, over time, can cluster. The crested shape of this cactus is highly appreciated and sought after by cactus collectors from all over the world, as each specimen is different from the others, always unique with its extremely compact and spiny fan shape. It is also known as "Old lady pincushion", due to its long, fluff-like soines that densely cover the plant. Its stem has numerous conical tubercles, surrounded by a thick down. It blooms profusely in spring, generating many small fuchsia flowers, arranged in a ring on the upper part of the plant.
