Mammillaria eriacantha

These are cacti with a cylindrical and rather narrow stem, which can reach up to 50 cm in height, while maintaining a diameter of a few centimeters. It has radial spines of a bright yellow color, very short and thin, and two slightly longer central spines, flexible and of a beautiful golden shade. The small yellow flowers bloom around the apex in the shape of a corolla. The name of the species comes from Latin and literally means "downy spines", in reference to the fairly soft consistency of its small quills.
