Mammillaria deherdtiana

Its name was chosen in honor of Cyrel De Herdt, a Belgian farmer who first spread it. It is a globular cactus of an intense emerald green, which does not reach large dimensions but attracts attention for its perfect wealth of details. It has conical and rather pointed tubercles, at the apex of which large rounded white areoles contrast with the green of the stem; from these last numerous yellowish-white radial thorns branch off, thin and radially arranged, slightly curved towards the body as if to want to completely envelop it. The central spines are not always present; only rarely, especially at the apex, do reddish-brown spines emerge, more robust and straight. Mammillaria deherdtiana is perfect for decorating even the smallest spaces, as well as for testing novice enthusiasts!
