Mammillaria cobrensis

M. cobrensis is a magnificent exemplar of a globe-shaped cactus, with a green stem where several tubercles are present. From the white-yellowish and woolly areolas, radial and central spines come out: the radials are white, thin and numerous; the central ones, on the contrary, are more robust, of dark brown colour and there are present one or two per areola. The beautiful funnel-shaped flowers of M. cobrensis bloom at the apex of the plant and are yellow-greenish or pink, with central fuchsia veins.
