Mammillaria carnea

Also known as "Pin-cushion cactus", it is a small cactacea with a solitary habit, which tends to cluster over time and, in nature, can be found in tropical forests. The green stem has numerous well-defined tubercles, between which it forms a dense down. The spines are stiff and straight, reddish-colored, star-shaped, with black tips. Flowering is abundant, the plant blooms, on the apex of the plant, with funnel-shaped pale pink flowers.
