Mammillaria bertholdii

This compact cactacea has a very flat stem and produces only one small disk of tubercles. The thorns are white and are arranged in a comb to adapt to periods of drought. Worthy of note is the particularly long floral tube from which deep pink flowers bloom. In the Mammillaria group this peculiar variety is preferably recommended to those who already have experience in the care of cacti.
