Mammillaria baumii

A beautiful cactacee specimen that is highly appreciated by collectors all over the world for its shape and inflorescences. M. baumi is a cactus that ignites, creating new suckers. Its stem is green in colour and it has protruding tubercles; on which we find its numerous thin spines that cover the whole stem. The radial plugs are numerous ( may be around 30 ) of white colour while the central ones are less ( around 10 ) and yellowish in colour. The beautiful flowers of M. baumii bloom in late spring, are yellow with long petals and have a funnel shape.
