Mammillaria armillata

A beautiful cactus with a globose shape that becomes columnar over time. Its green stem is equipped with protruding tubercles over which are positioned white and fluffy areoles. Its spines protrude from the areoles and are radial and central: the first ones are arranged radially, white and straight with red tips while the central ones are 1-2 in number, they are longer than the radials and hooked at the apex. Generally the central spines are reddish in color. The beautiful flowers of M. armillata are yellow and bloom at the apex of the stem.
