Maihueniopsis boliviana

In nature, it grows on the Andes at altitudes between 2000 m. and 4000 m. above sea level, in flat and very arid zones. M. boliviana is a cactus that has dark green stems, with woolly and yellowish areoles. From these ones come out numerous, yellow and thin thorns that while the plant grows, become greyish. During the flowering period you can admire beautiful yellow, orange or pink flowers. Synonym: Cumulopuntia boliviana.
