Description:
Cactaceae with some peculiarities that will certainly not go unnoticed: consisting of a globose stem, slightly cylindrical with growth, it has slightly tuberculated and not strongly grooved ribs. Equipped with white and roundish areoles from which come out thin and very varied thorns both for length and for colouration, usually yellowish or brown, arranged star-shaped. The real highlight of this cactus is undoubtedly its inflorescence; on the sides of the dark and opaque stem, in fact, between spring and summer gigantic funnel-shaped pink flowers bloom with a throat that fades towards the white: a real show for your locations!

It likes an exposure to full sun in rather airy locations.
It is preferable to keep it at mild temperatures and never below 5 °C, for this reason it is recommended to shelter it during the winter period.
Water moderately but only when the soil is completely dry. It is enough to water the plant once a week in spring and summer, and suspend watering completely in winter.
A well draining soil is an optimal solution, for example a mixture of peat and sand so that the water does not stagnate.
They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
