Lobivia shaferi

It is a globular cactus, that stretches up, forming many suckers at the base. Its stem is green-gray, and along its coasts there are slightly downy areoles. The radial spines are of a light color, while the central ones are much darker and longer. It blooms in spring with a beautiful large light yellow flower, which lasts a maximum of two days. The buds are covered with thick, long white fuzz.
