Lobivia schieliana

It is a globular cactus, which tends to become cylindrical as it grows. Its dark green stem has rather narrow and marked longitudinal ribs, from which dense yellow-brown thorns emerge, arranged like spider legs; with the growth of the plant, the spines tend to almost completely envelop the stem, touching each other from one area to another. One of the strong points of this cactacea, in addition to the ease of cultivation and rapid growth, is undoubtedly its red and fuchsia giant funnel-shaped flowers, able to give liveliness to any environment!
