Also known as Echinopsis formosa subs. rosarioana. It is a cactaceae with a globular habit, initially solitary, which branches off at the base over time. It has numerous ribs with white downy areoles, that hold long and rigid spines of a yellowish amber color. Flowering occurs in spring, blooming with funnel-shaped flowers of variable colors, ranging from yellow to red.
