Lobivia ferox

It is a very large solitary cactaceae, that can become clustered over time, its stem is completely wrapped in spines, that have a hooked shape. Its ribs are well defined and topped by small downy areoles. Flowering occurs on any part of the plant, and is spectacular for the size of its creamy white flowers, which have the characteristic of having a long stem.
