Lobivia aurea f. crested

In the crested form, L. aurea has a fan shape of the stem, unique in its kind as it will never be identical in different plants. In its normal form, this cactus with a globular or elongated stem has numerous ribs. The latter are covered with brown areoles, from which come out combed spines of brown-black color with yellowish tips. In late spring it generates bright yellow or white flowers.
