Also known as Echinopsis ancistrophora subs. arachnacantha. It is a small cactacea with a slightly flattened spherical stem, which clusters and forms large tufts over time. It has ribs of a rounded shape, not very defined, on which groups of spines, which resemble little spiders, grow. It blooms from spring to summer, generating very showy funnel-shaped flowers of a considerable size, often larger than the plant itself. The flowers' color may vary from golden yellow to red-purple or even white.
