Lithops naureniae C304

A plant, found by the collector Desmond Thorne Cole 60 km south-east of Springbok, South Africa. In nature it grows on pink and reddish-brown rocky soil, and to blend in perfectly with the environment, it assumes various colors from pinkish to brownish, with the upper part of the leaves of variable colors with the marbled effect pattern. This "living stone" requires less water and brighter light rather than other Lithops. In late autumn, its beautiful bright yellow flower with a white center blooms. Simultaneously with the blossoming of the flower two new leaves appear, and the old ones dry up and disappear completely.
