Description:

The variegated shape of this succulent has yellow zones, or a lighter shade of green, in the exact points where the chlorophyll is absent; such zones will never be identical from one plant to another, thus making each exemplar absolutely unique and, for this reason, very sought after by collectors. Commonly known as "living stone", this succulent comes from South Africa and, in its natural habitat, grows in small colonies on very sandy desert areas, where it perfectly camouflages. With age it can form more or less large groups. The body is formed by two fleshy and thick leaves, coupled, separated only by a fissure where beautiful yellow flowers similar to daisies bloom. Its flattened apex can be smooth or wrinkled, embellished and rendered even more three-dimensional by streaks ranging from yellow to brown.

Plant care:

It likes very bright places, however, avoid direct sunlight during the hottest hours of the day. It prefers environments with low humidity.

It is preferable to keep it at mild temperatures and never below 10 °C, for this reason it is recommended to shelter it during the winter period.

Water moderately in spring and summer but only when the soil is completely dry and suspend watering completely in winter.

The best soil is a well-draining one, even better if further enriched with inert materials such as pumice, sand or lapilli.

They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
