L. stellatus f. variegated is a unique and distinctive cactus exemplar thanks to its variegation. Its dark green columnar stem has marked ribs, on which we find woolly white areoles quite distant from each other. The spines of this magnificent Lemaireocereus emerge from the areolas and are arranged in the shape of a star, creating a very pleasant visual impact. We find a long and robust central spine, while the radial ones are shorter with shades of grey that tend to become black at the apex. The yellowish colour of the variegation alternates with the green of the stem, creating a very attractive contrast. The flowering of L. stellatus f. variegated is nocturnal and its beautiful bell-shaped flowers have white-pink hues.
