Wonderful succulent characterized by a massive woody caudex with the most unusual and decidedly extravagant shapes; the barky tuber, as well as being widely appreciated by bonsai collectors, is fundamental in nature to preserve an important water reserve necessary for the plant during periods of drought. The thin climbing stems that grow annually are adorned with velvety leaves to the touch, characterized by showy veins and serrated margins in its 3 or 5 perfectly subdivided foliar lobes. The charm of this succulent is certainly appreciated by true connoisseurs, but also by those who need a resistant plant, suitable even for novice collectors!

Prefers luminous locations, but possibly far from the direct rays of the sun.
As native of the scorching lands of Africa, it loves the high temperatures, even if it can bear, for short periods, also temperatures close to 0 and C!
It is advisable to water abundantly on a weekly basis during the vegetative period, while in winter it is preferable to suspend the water supply completely in order to avoid rotting problems.
It is optimal, an extremely draining substratum, consisting of specific soil for cacti which is recommended to add pumice or sand.
It does not need frequent fertilizations, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with the water of the waterings only once a year.
