Description:

It is a small-sized succulent bush, that almost never exceeds one meter in height, formed by a barky brown caudex of a non-symmetrical ovoid shape, sometimes branched and tangled - this  characteristic makes each specimen unique and highly sought after by green collectors. At the apex of the caudex, a thin woody, weakly branched stem sprout, which then becomes green and flexible, where dark green lanceolate leaves with clearly visible light veins are born. It has female flowers, all surrounded by small male flowers of the most varied colors; this plant usually blooms throughout the year, if the climatic conditions allow it.

Plant care:

It requires a lot of light throughout the year, however, avoid direct sun rays, especially during the hottest hours of the day, as long as they might burn the leaves.

It is preferable to keep it at mild temperatures and never below 10 °C, for this reason it is recommended to shelter it during the winter period.

Water regularly but moderately during the growing season (when the new leaves are born), always making sure that the soil is always dry between one watering and the next one. During the dormant period (when the leaves begin to turn yellow and fall) suspend watering.

The best soil is a well-draining and porous one, even better if further enriched with 50% or more of inert materials such as pumice, lapilli or clay.

They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
