The crested shape of this cactaceae has a fan crest that makes it very special as it will never be identical in plants making each of them unique in this way for this reason very appreciated by connoisseurs of plant fat. In its normal form it is a cactus also called 'Monkey’s tail' for its drooping posture and the stem covered by long, thin and soft white or yellowish thorns. In nature it grows hanging on Mount Cerro El Fraile at an altitude of 1300-1500 meters above sea level. For this reason it is perfect for decorating hanging vases. Its flashy red flower, highlighted by white down, is a real spectacle.
