Gymnocalycium valnicekianum

Generally a solitary cactus but, with age, it can cluster. It has a globular shape, is of an olive-green color, with well-defined ribs, where white downy areoles are formed. Gymnocalycium valnicekianum has long rigid spines of a gray-pink color, that darken at the tips. It blooms with beautiful large funnel-shaped flowers of a pinkish-white color.
