Gymnocalycium schroederianum

Small shiny dark green cactus, which does not reach considerable size but is appreciated for its rounded shapes and at the same time never perfectly symmetrical; it is made up of irregular ribs and rounded tubercles, very fleshy and clearly visible, from the center of each of which sturdy flat greyish spines protrude, rather long and arranged like a five-pointed star. Depending on the variety, the quills tend to flatten along the body or remain partially protruding outwards. During the flowering season, at the apex of the cactus you can admire beautiful funnel-shaped flowers with white or yellowish tones.
