Gymnocalycium schmidianum

It's a really interesting cactus, consisting of a globular stem, slightly depressed at the apex, which does not reach large dimensions. The epidermis is a beautiful opaque dark green and is equipped with deep, wide and conical tubercles, at the apex of which there are large round areolas rich in white fluff. The real strong point of this species are the thorns: very robust, long and curved, of a beautiful brownish-yellow, they arrange themselves in a radial pattern along the body as if to completely cover it, giving the plant a pleasant and incomparable wild aspect.
