Gymnocalycium quehlianum f. crested

The crested shape of this cactaceae has the typical fan arrangement that is rather wide, compact and flattened at the apex. Each plant will never take the exact shape of the others, that’s why they are absolutely unique and therefore highly sought after by lovers of cactaceas! In its normal form it is a globose and usually solitary cactus, with tonalities that vary from reddish to bluish-green. G. quehlianum’s particular feature is having the most flat stem among all Gymnocalycium. It has numerous tubercles and multiple areoles close to each other, from which come out small yellowish thorns.
