Gymnocalycium platense

It is a small cactus of a slightly flattened globular shape, of an iridescent color, ranging from bluish green to olive green. The ribs have well-defined tubercles, from which downy white areoles emerge. From them thin and rigid combed spines sprout, ranging in color from yellow to reddish. During summer, it blooms with numerous pink-white diurnal flowers.
