Gymnocalycium monvillei

It is a small globular cactus with an initially solitary habit that, over time, clusters at the base. Its green stem has broad ribs with well-marked tubercles, from which downy white and oval areoles are formed. The spines are thick and robust, slightly flattened towards the stem, of a yellow-cream color with reddish shades at the base. During summer, large and beautiful funnel-shaped flowers of a pinkish-white color, bloom.
