Description:
G. intertextum is a small globe-shaped cactus with a diameter of max 10cm. Its stem of intense green color is equipped with marked ribs and protruding tubercles. At the apex of each tubercle we find the fluffy white areoles from which emerge its beautiful spines that cover the stem entirely. The spines arranged in rays are very robust; long and curved towards the body of the plant in such a way as to intertwine with each other. They are white-graish shades and over time can take on brown shades at the tips. The beautiful daisies of G. intertextum grow at the apex of the plant, with delicate light pink petals and a dark pink median line, creating a very pleasant visual effect.

Plant care:
It requires a lot of light throughout the year, however, avoid direct sunlight especially during the hottest hours of the day.
It is preferable to keep it at mild temperatures and never below 7 °C, for this reason it is recommended to shelter it during the winter period.
Water moderately but only when the soil is completely dry. It is enough to water it once a week in spring and summer, reduce watering to once every two months in autumn, and to suspend it completely in winter.
The best soil is a well draining one, for example formed by a mixture of peat and pumice so that the water does not stagnate.
They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
