The monstrous shape of this succulent presents geometric anomalies, for example, sometimes asymmetrical protuberances or absence of thorns, different for each individual exemplar, so much to make each of them absolutely unique and for this extremely sought after by collectors. It is a globose cactus, slightly flattened at the apex, which does not reach a size greater than 15 cm in diameter; it immediately draws attention for its beautiful dark green, particularly shiny, jagged by rounded and little marked ribs. The spines are rare and whitish, rather thin and curved towards the stem almost to wrap it in a way similar to the legs of a spider, characteristic that has given it the common name of "spider cactus". Between spring and summer it will surprise you when large flowers bloom, extremely delicate and elegant, between white and pink.
