Gymnocalycium carminanthum

A perfectly spherical cactus of an opaque light green color; it has well-marked ribs, on which large roundish whitish areoles can be seen. It is equipped with sturdy, rather long and slightly curved, amber-colored spines, that tend to envelop the whole body of the plant. Its inflorescences are bell-shaped with a silky sheen.
