Gymnocalycium berchtii

Rare small, slow-growing cactus with solitary or clustered habit. The stem, depressed at the apex it’s a greenish-gray color. It is formed by flattened ribs and on its small white areoles you can see three blackish spines, flattened and tending downwards. When the plant is exposed to the sun tends to take a splendid purplish color.At the apex large funnel-shaped mother-of-pearl-pink flowers bloom.
