Gymnocalycium armatum

It’s a perfectly spherical plant of an opaque greyish-green color. It has well-marked ribs, on which large round whitish downy areoles can be seen. It is equipped with long, robust and slightly hooked yellow-reddish spines, that completely envelop the body of the plant. Its inflorescences are bell-shaped with a silky sheen.
