Description:

Graptoveria 'Starfire' is a hybrid obtained in nurseries between the crossing of Echeveria lilacina and Graptopetalum filiferum. It has fleshy leaves with particular serrated margins that resemble small flames (hence the name Starfire) and give the plant a very attractive appearance. The epidermis is green in color that with the passage of time and prolonged exposure to the sun, assumes reddish tones, enhancing its beauty and making it increasingly 'fiery'. This succulent does not need special care: is an indoor plant because it does not resist low temperatures, should be placed in bright and airy environments requiring at least 4-6 hours per day of light but never under direct sunlight (especially in summer during the hottest hours of the day). The soil for this type of plant is a soil for succulents, well draining to prevent water stagnation and thus root rot.

Plant care:

It requires a lot of light throughout the year, however, avoid direct sun rays, especially during the hottest hours of the day, as long as they might burn the leaves.

It is preferable to keep it at mild temperatures and never below 7 °C, for this reason it is recommended to shelter it during the winter period.

Water moderately but only when the soil is completely dry. It is enough to water the plant once a week in spring and summer and suspend watering completely in winter.

The best soil is a well draining one, so to avoid rotting, for example a mixture of peat and pumice so that the water does not stagnate.

They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
