Description:

Beautiful succulent not present in nature, but generated in nursery by the intersection of Graptopetalum paraguayense and Echeveria gigantea, whose name refers to its first producer. It is a wonderful plant usually consisting of groups of rosettes resembling lotus flowers. The leaves are rather flat and broad, slightly spoon-shaped and ending at the apex in a delicate tip. The epidermis, made opaque by a kind of pruina that protects it, is the real strong point of this Graptoveria: depending on the seasons, in fact, it will be tinged with green-bluish or pink-violet tones, tending to a purple even more intense if exposed to abundant brightness. It gaves to G. ‘Douglas huth’ an extremely varied overall appearance and is absolutely perfect to always add a new touch to your environments!

Plant care:

It requires a lot of light throughout the year, however, avoid direct sun rays, especially during the hottest hours of the day, as long as they might burn the leaves.

It is preferable to keep it at mild temperatures and never below 7 °C, for this reason it is recommended to shelter it during the winter period.

Water moderately but only when the soil is completely dry. It is enough to water the plant once a week in spring and summer and suspend watering completely in winter.

The best soil is a well draining one, so to avoid rotting, for example a mixture of peat and pumice so that the water does not stagnate.

They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
