Description:

This magnificent hybrid of gasteria bicolor is created in Japan and its name Fuji Yuki means 'Snow of Mount Fuji'. It is highly appreciated by collectors for its colors and variegations: its leaves are fleshy dark green in the center; towards the margins have yellow variegations and streaks while the entire surface is dotted with white spots. After adequate exposure to the sun they take on pinkish shades on the edges and on the tips. This succulent can form rosettes that reach even 15 cm diameter. Gasteria cv. Fuji Yuki blooms throughout the year (mostly in winter-spring) and its beautiful tubular pink/reddish and green flowers bloom at the apex of long stems.

Plant care:

It requires a lot of light throughout the year, however, avoid direct sunlight especially during the hottest hours of the day.

It is preferable to keep it at mild temperatures and never below 7 °C, for this reason it is recommended to place it in sheltered and ventilated places during winter.

Water moderately but only when the soil is completely dry. It is enough to water it once a week in spring and summer, reduce watering to once every two months in autumn, and to suspend it completely in winter.

The best soil is a well draining one, so to avoid rotting, for example a mixture of peat and pumice so that the water does not stagnate.

They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
