Gasteria baylissiana

Dwarf succulent consisting of pairs of opposite leaves stacked on each other that do not exceed a height of about 4 cm because they tend to remain flattened and develop laterally for a diameter that does not exceed 7-8 cm. The leaves are long and lanceolate, from the flattened surfaces and ending at the apex in a modest tip. On the skin, of an intense dark green, there is a dense network of three-dimensional white dots, almost swollen, which make the surface rough to the touch and give the succulent an easily recognizable appearance. To adorn the whole complex contributes a thin white line that defines the edges sharply, as if they were drawn, giving G. baylissiana additional three-dimensionality and an unmistakable color contrast.
