It is a succulent plant with a thick and greyish caudex, which reaches up to 30 cm in diameter. It tends to grow faster, if kept underground. It has thin branches that can reach up to 80 cm in height, from which oval green leaves emerge that have typical yellow spots or streaks in the points where there is a lack of chlorophyll. It is a deciduous plant, which means that the plant loses all its leaves in the winter rest period. In late summer, it blooms with small, slightly scented, whitish-green flowers.
